Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend)

  • Salt & pepper, to taste

  • 4 sesame seed burger buns

  • 4 American cheese slices

  • 1/4 cup chopped white onion

  • 1/4 cup dill pickle slices

  • 2 tbsp yellow mustard

  • 2 tbsp ketchup

Instructions

  • Shape the Patties:
    Divide beef into 4 equal parts and flatten into thin, round patties. Season with salt and pepper.

  • Sear the Patties:
    Heat a skillet over medium-high. Cook patties for 2–3 minutes per side until browned and juicy.

  • Melt the Cheese:
    In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheese on each patty and cover with a lid to melt.

  • Toast the Buns:
    Lightly butter the buns and toast them cut-side down in a pan for 1–2 minutes until golden.

  • Assemble the Burger:
    Spread ketchup and mustard on the top bun. Add pickles, onions, and place the patty on the bottom bun. Stack and enjoy!
