Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ball fresh pizza dough (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce (with garlic and a hint of spice)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded provolone cheese
  • 2530 slices cupped pepperoni
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon red chili flakes (or to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven while preheating.
  2. Roll or stretch the pizza dough on a floured surface, leaving a slightly thicker edge.
  3. Spread tomato sauce evenly across the base.
  4. Sprinkle mozzarella and provolone cheeses over the sauce.
  5. Add cupped pepperoni slices evenly across the top.
  6. Bake for 12–15 minutes until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling.
  7. Meanwhile, gently heat honey and red chili flakes in a small saucepan over low heat for 5 minutes. Stir in apple cider vinegar if using. Remove from heat and strain if desired.
  8. Drizzle the hot honey over the pizza immediately after removing from the oven.
  9. Let the pizza rest for 2–3 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Drizzle the honey only after baking for best flavor and visual appeal. For crispier pepperoni cups, use thick-cut slices spaced slightly apart.
